Kristy Gordon

I am a PR and communications consultant with a broad background in media and marketing industries that spans 14 years. My experience of both client side, as Marketing Manager for a number of key Australian retailers, and agency side, from within leading PR agencies, gives me deep understanding of what clients need from a PR consultancy as well as what is achievable with good PR practice. In PR I have worked across major consumer brands (IKEA, Blanco, GE Whitegoods), key Australian media brands (The Australian, Sydney Morning Herald, SBS, Fremantle Media Enterprises), not for profit organisations (Starlight Children’s Foundation, Macquarie University Centre for Emotional Health) and key Australian business brands in retail marketing (Crossmark), technology and marketing (Zeus Unwired, We Are Social), advertising and design (Cowan design, BWM, Starcom MediaVest Group) and transport and logistics (Platinum Freight Management). I have also led campaigns for high profile live events including the City to Surf and also Top Gear Live. In 2014 I launched K’s Word Communications, a boutique PR consultancy servicing a handful of respected clients, with the aim to create a business that is at once professional and personable, entirely flexible to meet client needs, and totally liveable. Flying solo, I work ethically, responsibly, and reliably, answering to no board nor budget, and offering clients a positive, flexible, intuitive and results-focused approach to PR strategy and implementation. I welcome clients with whom I can form deep relationships. I believe in my clients wholeheartedly and I operate with the understanding that the best results come from promoting great people doing exceptional work. This, I believe, is worth throwing all my energy into.
