WPP Media has promoted Peta Southcombe to client managing director, leading Mindshare’s Melbourne client portfolio, while Tess Eastcott has been elevated to client managing director for NAB Group.
As client managing director, Southcombe will be responsible for leading Mindshare’s Melbourne team, client portfolio, strengthening client partnerships and elevating the commercial capabilities of the agency.
Southcombe brings more than 15 years’ experience across WPP Media, including over a decade with Mindshare, where she has played a central role in building trusted client partnerships and high‑performing teams and delivering sustained commercial outcomes.
Additionally, Eastcott’s elevation means she now leads a purpose‑built and bespoke team dedicated to serving the NAB business, including uBank and MyCard. This appointment reflects both the scale and importance of the NAB relationship and Eastcott’s contribution since joining the agency over a year ago from PHD.
Both will join the Leadership team and report to Maria Grivas.
“Peta and Tess both bring well-earned trust, a commitment to nurturing high performing teams and a fresh perspective to our leadership and I’m excited about the impact they will continue to have for our clients and our teams. Peta is an exceptional leader whose deep client understanding, commercial discipline and genuine care for people make her a natural choice to lead our Melbourne client portfolio. Having joined us over a year ago, Tess has made a considerable impact, deepening our partnership with NAB,” said Grivas.
“I’m incredibly proud to step into this role and continue working alongside our clients and teams in Melbourne. We have a strong foundation built on trust, talent and ambition. Over my time with Mindshare, we have built an approach that has led to our continued and sustained momentum and I’m excited to bring a new energy into well-established growth strategies,” reflected Southcombe on her appointment.
“I’m incredibly proud to step into this role and continue building on the strong partnership we have with NAB, uBank and MyCard. This unit was created to bring sharper focus, deeper integration and greater impact for one of our most important client relationships and I’m excited to lead a team that is so deeply invested in delivering meaningful commercial outcomes,” commented Eastcott.
Chris Solomon is departing after eight years to take on a new opportunity. During his time with the agency, Solomon led the Melbourne business with energy, optimism and a people‑first mindset.
WPP Media has thanked Solomon for his leadership and contribution and wishes him every success in his next chapter.
Mindshare Melbourne’s clients include NAB, the Australian Labor Party, Rolex, Nike and University of Melbourne.
