As The Misfits Media Company hurtles towards its fifth iteration of its now world-famous Cairns Crocodiles Festival of Creativity, it has bolstered its senior executive team with the promotion of both Rosie Oakshott and Chloe Noel de Kerbrech to managing partners.
Having grown its revenue at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16 per cent, the Misfits has also expanded its staff base from 18 to nearly 50 since it was founded in 2014.
Instrumental to this growth, Noel de Kerbrech and Oakshott joined the business in 2018 and 2020 respectively.
“Chloe and Rosie have been two of the Misfits driving forces bringing a level of professionalism, discipline and an insatiable desire to win to what was our fast and loose way of doing business,” said Misfits co-founder and CEO David Hovenden.
“There’s no way we would have been able to survive, let alone thrive if it weren’t for the efforts of the whole Misfits family driven by these two extraordinary women,” added fellow co-founder and senior vice-president Dan Uglow.
“What’s kept me at The Misfits from day one is the people, the energy of the business and the opportunity to build brands that genuinely matter to our industry. Watching B&T grow editorially, while seeing Cairns Crocodiles and our awards portfolio become real industry institutions, has been something I’m incredibly proud to be a part of. I feel very lucky to help shape what comes next,” said Oakshott.
“I’m stoked to be stepping into this role, representing the next era of growth for all of us. What excites me most is continuing to create immersive, brand-led experiences that genuinely connect with audiences and leave a lasting impact. We’ve built a reputation for bold creative thinking, and I’m excited to help drive the next evolution of experiential storytelling for our clients,” said Noel de Kerbrech.
The Misfits also expects to announce more senior hires and launch new and exciting media platforms in the coming months.
