As the US election is today, US time, a Nine special, Power to the People: America Votes, attracted 1.4 million viewers (helped by The Block) on Monday night.
The program, which ran from 9pm, outlined what was at stake in the often chaotic and toxic battle for the White House between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
It registered an average audience of 400,000 viewers, less than a third who tuned in, which could be a sign of US election fatigue.
Nine’s The Block stormed Monday night as easily the most watched program with national reach of 2.17 million viewers and an average audience of 1.19 million.
Seven’s My Kitchen Rules posted strong audiences, reaching 1.63 million and holding an average audience of 946,000.
