There’s Still Work To Be Done – Enter This Year’s B&T’s Women In Media Awards Presented By Are Media

The advertising, media, and marketing industry wouldn’t exist without the army of women challenging the status quo and working tirelessly to get campaigns across the line.

But despite being an integral part of the industry, more than half of the women surveyed in the Women in Media Industry Insight Report said that the industry’s commitment to gender equality is weak.

And the proof is in the pay – whilst more women graduate in journalism, marketing and communications degrees than men, the gender pay gap stands at 16 per cent. This is more than the national average.

This is why B&T wants to highlight the amazing work women do in B&T’s Women In Media Awards, presented by Are Media.

Brought to you by Are Media (for the eighth straight year), the awards program recognises exceptional female-identifying talent who have achieved incredible success in their professional arenas.

There are 26 categories spanning the advertising, marketing, and media industries which are open to women at any level of their business – from CEO to new starters – to enter. All entries will be judged by a panel of top female executives.

New categories announced for this year are social media manager, project manager and client services.
