Influencer and social agency Social Soup has announced the appointment of Emily Green as director of partnerships.
Green brings over six years of social and marketing strategy experience with her, most recently as content and culture strategist at full-service influencer agency Buttermilk in London. Before that she held roles at WPP agencies and Net-A-Porter.
At Social Soup, Green will put a global lens on its creator programs and will be responsible for leading client services across the client portfolio.
Social Soup founder and CEO, Sharyn Smith, said: “We’re so excited to have Emily join the Social Soup team. She will be a great asset for us both internally and for all our clients.
“With the booming creator economy, the brands seeing the strongest returns are the ones treating influence as infrastructure, building communities of creators and fans who show up consistently. Creators are sitting right in the centre of community and culture right now, and having the right people leading this strategy is how we keep delivering the kind of compounding results our clients are seeing.
“Emily has already proved her expertise when she led the creator panel at our Influencer Upfronts just recently and I look forward to working with her more, especially as we shape and own our creator academy programs for clients this year,” she said.
Social Soup said her appointment “comes at a pivotal time for influencer marketing, as the creator economy passes $1 billion in ad spend and brands increasingly shift budgets from traditional channels to always-on creator programs”.
