Content and commerce company Sitecore has acquired marketing automation platform Moosend in an effort to bolster its SaaS-based digital experience platform.
In a note, Sitecore CEO Steve Tzikakis said the acquisition will help Sitecore better serve its customers.
“Moosend perfectly complements Sitecore’s industry-leading core offering to create a personalization powerhouse for modern enterprises. Moosend’s state-of-the-art marketing automation and AI-powered customer engagement features will streamline Sitecore’s ability to engage, nurture, and convert customer relationships to deliver personalized experiences across every channel,” he said.
“The combined offering will make it easier for marketers to deploy and measure campaigns and automate workflows across the entire customer journey – a game-changer for the majority of brands not yet set up for lifecycle marketing.”
Tzikakis added that acquisition would help Sitecore address the paradox of recent privacy changes (such as Apple’s ATT framework) coupled with user expectations around personalisation.
The acquistion is expected to be finalised by the end of May 2021.
