Sam Frost has officially quit seven’s Home and Away, after sharing her controversial vaccination views.
The Daily Telegraph has reported that Frost will film her final scenes this week and then move back to Melbourne.
It’s been a controversial year of Frost who previously took to Instagram to tearfully share that she was not vaccinated.
She later announced that would be getting the jab but not until next year and wouldn’t be vaccinated until mid-February.
Her announcements of course were further complicated by her role on Seven’s Home And Away. Particularly because Seven announced a vaccine mandate for staff.
Earlier this year a spokesman for Seven told B&T, “As part of our continuous health and safety reviews, we have identified roles within Seven Productions that have elevated risk due to the type of place of work.”
“To provide the safest possible work environment for cast, crew and presenters, Seven Productions have made the decision to only engage those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, taking effect in January next year. Seven strongly encourages vaccination to protect our people, their colleagues and their families.”
Originally the plan was that Frost would be temporarily written out of the show and then return to shoot next year.
However, The Daily Telegraph has reported that Frost now won’t be returning at all and it’s unclear if she still plans to get the jab.
