Craveable Brands has ended its relationship with Leo Australia, with the Red Rooster owner opting to move creative work to a project-by-project basis.
Leo Australia has held the Red Rooster account since 2018, when it won the business from Havas Host, following a competitive pitch.
Rather than run a new pitch process to replace Leo Australia as agency of record, B&T understands that Red Rooster will brief all creative work on a project basis.
The split follows the arrival of chief marketing officer Allan Collins, who joined Craveable Brands in May of 2026. Prior to this Collins, was chief marketing officer at Domino’s and moved across to Red Rooster shortly after former Domino’s CEO Josh Kilimnik made the transition to Craveable CEO.
The change comes not long after Red Rooster shifted its social media duties away from Leo Australia to independent agency Kill Boring Dead in January of 2026.
Over the past eight years Leo has created some of Red Rooster’s best-known work, including its most recent brand platform ‘ The Rooster Is Calling’.
The spot was fronted by NRL player Jared Waerea-Hargraves and built around the chain’s roots in Australian suburbia.
There has been a lot of account movement in the creative agency sector this year.
KFC added Special to its creative roster in February, Commonwealth Bank appointed Howatson + Company, Woolworths recently appointed Droga5, Asahi chose Kerfuffle and BMF, and Thinkerbell won Endeavour Group.
Both Leo Australia and Red Rooster declined to comment.
