Cairns Crocodiles Presented by Pinterest is throwing open the media doors for 2027, following a year that saw coverage of the festival travel further than ever before.
Media accreditation is officially open for journalists, editors, photographers, bloggers and content creators looking to cover Cairns Crocodiles when it returns from 25–27 May 2027.
The 2026 festival marked Crocs’ biggest year for media coverage yet, with stories generated on stage in Cairns travelling across Australia and around the world.
The debut Film & Screen track saw its session on the rise of microdramas picked up internationally by Variety in the UK, while Crocs also landed coverage across Forbes and The Australian and more.

A candid session between Crocs MC and global television executive Maz Farrelly and TV and podcast star Karl Stefanovic also travelled well beyond the festival, generating follow-up stories across Mediaweek, Yahoo Lifestyle and news.com.au. Stefanovic’s comments on his future in radio proved particularly newsworthy, with Mediaweek reporting on his remarks directly from the Crocs stage.
Crocs also made waves across Indian media and marketing titles, with the launch of its first-ever MOGO, created with Mumbai-based BrandMusiq and featuring actual crocodile roars and breathing sounds.
And Crocs wants even more of it in 2027.
“We love seeing the stories that come out of Crocs, particularly the ones we could never have predicted ourselves,” said Cairns Crocodiles content director Pippa Chambers.
“Last year our coverage travelled further than ever before, from major international titles through to media across Asia Pacific, and we are absolutely here for it! We want brilliant journalists, photographers and content creators on the ground in Cairns, meeting people, asking questions and finding the stories.”

Successful applicants will receive an all-access media pass for the full three-day festival, including access to sessions, networking events and selected experiences for accredited media.
More than 2,300 delegates attended Cairns Crocodiles in 2026, with the festival set to further expand its international and Asia Pacific focus next year.
