Australian beverage brand Posca Hydrate has joined the Edinburgh Castle Rockers as principal partner, founding team partner and official hydration partner for the inaugural 2026 European T20 Premier League season.
The partnership marks an important international step for Posca Hydrate, taking the Australian hydration brand into European cricket and introducing it to audiences across a number of major international markets.
The ETPL will be broadcast across the Indian subcontinent through Star Sports and JioHotstar, across the UK and Ireland through TNT Sports and HBO Max, and through Willow and Cricbuzz across a range of additional international markets.
In Australia, matches will be available through Fox Cricket on Foxtel and Kayo Sports.
Inspired by posca, the drink associated with ancient Rome, Posca Hydrate is a zero-sugar hydration soda combining electrolytes and prebiotics in a lightly sparkling format designed for active, social and everyday hydration occasions.
Across the inaugural season, Posca Hydrate will feature prominently across the Edinburgh Castle Rockers the team’s playing jersey, dugout, toss mat and LED assets, supported by collaborative content designed to take the partnership beyond traditional match-day branding.
“We love partnering with people who are building something with ambition and personality, and that came through immediately with the Rockers. For us this is about much more than putting Posca Hydrate on a shirt, it’s about becoming part of the team, introducing the brand to new audiences and building something together from Season One,” said Ed Stening, co- founder and CEO of Posca Hydrate.
Stening said the partnership also reflects Posca Hydrates broader growth ambitions.
“We’re proudly Australian, but we’ve always believed the Posca story can travel. European cricket gives us a chance to learn, build awareness and introduce Posca Hydrate to new consumers in markets that are increasingly relevant to us.”
“I’ve never been to Edinburgh and, as one of Australia’s most underrated cricketers, largely because nobody rated me at all, I feel uniquely qualified to say this: two thousand years ago, the Romans had posca; now Edinburgh has it. I’m not saying that guarantees the Rockers the title, but I’m also not saying it doesn’t,” added Merrick Watts, co-founder of Posca Hydrate.
“We’re delighted to welcome Posca Hydrate as one of our founding partners. There’s a natural fit between hydration, performance and what we’re building around the team, but just as importantly, Posca Hydrate has approached this as a real partnership. They’ve been proactive, creative and willing to help from day one,” said Kyle Mills, Edinburgh Castle Rockers.
The two organisations will work together through season one on co-branded content spanning players, performance, hydration and recovery, alongside opportunities to bring the personalities behind both brands into the partnership.
The Edinburgh Castle Rockers began its inaugural campaign with a victory over fellow Scottish franchise Glasgow Cosmic overnight.
