Nova’s Antonell Doyle has a passion for helping women grow in the industry, and as someone who had an invaluable mentor herself, she wants to pass down the same knowledge that helped kickstart her career through the IMAA’s Female Leaders of Tomorrow program.
Previously we heard from Outdoor Media Association (OMA) CEO, Elizabeth McIntyre on highlighting the value of networking.
B&T: How did you get involved and why this program specifically?
Antonell Doyle: I’m passionate about helping other women grow in our industry, having been fortunate to have an incredible mentor myself. So when a respected member of the IMAA invited me to take part, I was eager to get involved and give back by supporting another woman on her career journey.
B&T Why is mentoring women in the industry so important for its future success?
AD: Our industry is built on the people we grow, support, and promote. Investing in capable, confident individuals—especially women—creates a stronger, more inclusive media and agency landscape for everyone.
B&T Who are/were your mentors, and what did you learn from them?
AD: My mentor was Tammie Williams. Ironically, our relationship began with unofficial mentoring, and over time she’s become one of my closest friends. We’re very different in terms of personality, and I think that contrast has been incredibly valuable in broadening my perspective and challenging the way I think.
B&T If you could offer one piece of advice to all future leaders, what would it be and why?
AD: I always strive to remain open to learning, growing, and developing new ways of thinking. I pride myself on my growth mindset and approach problem solving from various angles. While it may sound cliché, I truly believe that people are the real asset that set us apart—so invest the time in nurturing, training, and developing them. That’s why I am so passionate about mentoring, if you can help someone , why wouldn’t you!
