Nova’s Brisbane general manager and head of podcasting Jay Walkerden is under internal investigation following an alleged incident on a work trip to the US, according to The Courier-Mail.
While it is unclear what happened during the trip, it is understood Walkerden is now “on leave” pending an internal review of the incident.
It is also being reported the allegation involves one of its breakfast presenters.
An anonymous source told The Courier-Mail: “There was an incident in San Francisco, and complaints were made.”
Nova has yet to respond to B&T‘s request for comment.
Prior to joining Nova as program director in 2011, Walkerden worked at CMC Media as programming director and group program controller at Global Media in the UK. He began his career at Southern Cross Austereo, where he worked for 14 years.
