NOVA Entertainment has revealed Nova 100’s long-time Breakfast co-host and newsreader Clint Stanaway is now formally recognised in the show’s name, with Jase, Lauren & Clint officially launching on air this morning.
Stanaway has been an integral part of the Melbourne Breakfast show for several years, alongside co-hosts Jase Hawkins and Lauren Phillips, but was not named until today.
“It’s both incredibly humbling and a really proud moment for me. Jase and Lauren have been so supportive throughout my career, and I’m genuinely grateful to them, to Nova and to the listeners who’ve backed me every step of the way,” Stanaway said.
Jase Hawkins joked the update was partly practical. “Saying ‘Clint’s here too’ multiple times a morning really chews up airtime, so the name change just makes sense,” he said.
“Jokes aside, I couldn’t imagine this show without Clint. We’ve become great mates over the years, and I’m so proud of him. His contribution takes our show to a whole other level, and he absolutely deserves this recognition.”
In the week leading up to today’s announcement, Jase & Clint billboards all over Melbourne mysteriously started to be graffitied with the words ‘and Clint’ ‘what about Clint’ in black pen (see below), leading to an influx of social media posts as a result.
