Independent full-service agency The Digital Picnic has been appointed digital agency of record for fertility provider No. 1 Fertility.

Effective immediately, the agency will lead No. 1 Fertility’s digital marketing strategy across Australia, overseeing social media strategy and management, creative content, video production and digital performance optimisation.

The appointment comes as No. 1 Fertility looks to expand its presence beyond Melbourne and build awareness following the recent launch of its Sydney clinic.

As part of the remit, The Digital Picnic will adopt a social-first strategy designed to strengthen the brand’s digital presence, develop educational content, and support both patient acquisition and specialist doctor recruitment. The agency will also review No. 1 Fertility’s existing digital footprint, including its website, as part of a broader marketing overhaul.

The Digital Picnic and its founder, Cherie Clonan took home two of the biggest honors at the 2024 B&T Women in Media Awards – Woman of the Year and Glass Ceiling Awards.

Nicole Coombs, account director at The Digital Picnic, said the partnership was built around a shared vision for education-led healthcare marketing.

“Healthcare decisions are deeply personal, and trust is everything. Our focus is on building a digital-first presence that reflects the exceptional care No. 1 Fertility provides every day, while helping more Australians discover the clinics through meaningful, educational and engaging content,” Coombs said.

“We’re excited to reimagine No. 1 Fertility’s social media presence, create a more cohesive visual identity and develop a content ecosystem that supports both immediate growth and long-term brand recognition.”

Kylie Soltermann, director of clinical operations at No. 1 Fertility, said the agency’s strategic approach to social media and cultural fit made it the right choice.

“We selected The Digital Picnic for its strategic social thinking, genuine investment in our growth ambitions, and strong cultural alignment,” Soltermann said.

“We are also impressed by agency founder Cherie Clonan’s committed approach to her clients, and as a female-led agency, we believe The Digital Picnic is a natural fit for our business.”

The first phase of work will focus on refreshing No. 1 Fertility’s social strategy, redefining its content pillars and creating a more consistent creative direction across its Melbourne and Sydney operations.
