The Block has continued its winning ways for Nine, again being the most watched entertainment show of last night, with 1.09 million tuning in to see the reno stalwart, according to OzTAM numbers.
However, the second instalment of Hell’s Kitchen didn’t bring any joy to Seven, managing only 615,000 last night. The show debuted on Sunday night with 817,000 and could soon have Seven execs reaching for the Alka Seltzers.
Yesterday, Sunday’s premiere of the cooking show was roasted on social media as not being a patch on the US version with Gordon Ramsey, fans labelling it “f@cking rubbish”, “an absolute bore” and “there goes 20 minutes I won’t get back”.
Despite Hell’s Kitchen’s headaches, there was only a cigarette paper width in last night’s final numbers with Nine winning the night with 30.2 per cent of the audience share, just pipping rival Seven’s 30 per cent.
Ten was again beaten by the ABC. Aunty managing 18 per cent to Ten’s 16.9 per cent. The SBS had 4.9 per cnet.
Seven, however, had the most watched show of the night with its 6pm news bringing in 1.1 million.
The Karl Stefanovic hosted This Time Next Year fell sharply from last week’s numbers managing 872,000.
Ten’s Survivor doesn’t seem to be winning or losing fans, pulling 637,000. While 626,000 stuck around for Have You Been Paying Attention?
Over the ABC, its 7pm news managed 731,000, 7.30 had 623,000, Four Corners 787,000 and Media Watch 589,000.
