As sport’s greatest rivalry prepares to take centre stage, Triple M is primed to deliver every ball, boundary, and spine-tingling moment of the 2025–26 Ashes Series—live across the network and streaming on LiSTNR—with brand new technology and star-studded commentary line-up set to enhance every cricket fan’s live listening experience.

The Triple M commentary line-up brings together the best in the business—a who’s who of Aussie cricket and broadcasting royalty—with a roster including James Brayshaw, Mark Taylor, Mark Howard, Greg Blewett, Brad Haddin, Mark Waugh, Merv Hughes, Matthew Hayden, Aaron Finch, Mitchell Johnson, Callum Ferguson, Jack Heverin, and Dan Ginnane. Between them, the powerhouse Aussie contingency boasts more than 500 Test caps, 1800 first-class matches, and more hours behind the mic than they’d care to admit.

Joining from the UK are international greats Sir Ian Botham, Graeme Swann, Isabelle Westbury, and the return of David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd, adding a distinctly English flavour (and some much needed balance) to the call.

A man who needs no introduction, Botham is one of cricket’s most esteemed commentators and one of the greatest all-rounders in history. He’ll bring his knowledge of the game to the Triple M call, alongside Swann and former English coach Lloyd, who returns to the commentary box for a special appearance at The Ashes. Westbury rounds out the UK contingent, bringing one of cricket’s most impressive résumés as a journalist, lawyer, broadcaster, and former international player.

Beyond the boundary, LiSTNR is going big this summer, serving up premium cricket content for fans who live and breathe the game—from Willow Talk with Alyssa Healy, Adam Peacock, and Brad Haddin to The Howie Games with exclusive access to Mitch Starc and Alex Carey’s Ashes journey. The Grade Cricketer’s Sam Perry and Ian Higgins will add their cult-followed wit and insight to Triple M’s Ashes coverage with exclusive feature content and pre-recorded segments that reflect the heart of cricket culture.

From the stands, fans will also experience a new way to listen. For the first time ever, LiSTNR’s new in-stadium live streaming technology will deliver ultra-low latency streams directly to listeners in the ground so fans attending the Ashes can enjoy Triple M’s iconic call in real time, without delay.

“This is what we live for. The Ashes brings out the best in Australian sport, and the very best in Triple M. We’ve got the biggest names in the game, voices our listeners love, and an unmatched line-up of cricket royalty from both sides of the world,” said Ewan Giles, SCA head of sports content.

“It’s set to be a massive summer for cricket fans, and Triple M and LiSTNR are cricket fan’s perfect companions—rain, hail, or shine. With new technology delivered to fans at the ground to make their listening experience even better, this is sure to be Triple M’s biggest and best summer of cricket yet.”

Lloyd said, “I’m absolutely rapt to get back on Aussie soil and join Triple M’s commentary team for the Ashes series. I’m looking forward to getting some warmth and escaping the British winter for what will be a real tight series. For every young cricketer, it’s their dream to play in the Ashes and to commentate on it is the next best thing.”

As Australia and England renew cricket’s most famous rivalry, Triple M’s live coverage of the 2025–26 Ashes Series begins Friday, November 21, from Perth Stadium and will be broadcast nationally across Triple M’s metro stations and available to stream live on LiSTNR.
