Omnicom Media (a rebrand from Omnicom Media Group) has rubber stamped its new leadership team.
As B&T previously revealed, Kristiaan Kroon has now been appointed chief executive, an elevation from the chief operating officer role he assumed when taking the baton from OMG’s previous CEO Peter Horgan last December.
Kroon has essentially led OMG since, but now has a CEO’s job title to boot. Yesterday, B&T reported that IPG Mediabrands Australia CEO Mark Coad and APAC boss Leigh Terry had left the newly merged company.
Mark Jarrett, the former chief executive of PHD, has been appointed chief operating officer, as predicted by B&T a month ago.
A new name to add to the ranks is Donna Bartlett, who has served in OMG’s finance team for nearly 20 years, and will assume the role of CFO.
Bartlett, a member of the Media Federation of Australia’s finance taskforce, officially takes the head beancounter position that has been vacant since long-serving CFO Hugh Murnane left the company earlier this year. She had served the role on an interim basis after Murnane’s departure.
The leadership moves are part of a wider Asia-Pacific roll out of senior roles for Omnicom post Interpublic Group acquisition.
Tony Harradine will continue to lead the division across APAC, supported by Chief financial officer Chan Ching Yi and chief commercial trading officer Paul Shepherd.
APAC agency leaders are: Charlotte Lee (OMD), Eileen Ooi (PHD) and Rochelle Chhaya (UM). Initiative is on the hunt for a new APAC lead.
In Australia, the agencies are led by Sian Whitnall (OMD), Laura Nice (PHD), Anathea Ruys (UM), Jo McAlister (Initiative) and Sue Squillace (Mediahub). Hearts & Science has not had a CEO since Jane Stanley left to take up a role at Air New Zealand.
Yesterday, Omnicom consolidated the creative agency networks of Omnicom and Interpublic into three: BBDO Worldwide, TBWA Worldwide and McCann Worldgroup, sunsetting DDB, FCB and MullenLowe.
