JOLT has promoted Victorian sales director Tim Debenham into the newly created role of national sales director, as the electric vehicle charging and digital out-of-home network continues its commercial expansion across Australia.
The appointment will see Debenham take responsibility for JOLT’s national sales function, overseeing revenue strategy and sales team development across the country, while continuing to lead the Victorian sales team. He will report to Australian country manager Stuart Moffat.
Debenham joined JOLT in 2022 from News Corp, where he held a number of senior media sales positions. Since joining the business, he has played a key role in strengthening JOLT’s data and measurement capabilities and expanding its Victorian client portfolio, particularly across the automotive and energy sectors.
The promotion comes as JOLT continues to scale its commercial operations nationally and follows Moffat’s recent appointment to the newly created Australian Country Manager position.
Moffat said Debenham’s contribution to the business made him the natural choice for the role.
“Tim is a leader in every sense of the word. He knows JOLT inside and out, he understands what great work looks like, and he has the patience and craft to see it through,” Moffat said.
“He has a track record for being meticulous and dedicated to his partnerships – he’s been known to work with clients for the better part of a year to get a campaign exactly right.
“What he’s built in Victoria speaks for itself. Its sales team is now one of the strongest in the business and it’s a direct reflection of how Tim leads; it’s exactly why we’ve created this role for him.
“This promotion is well-earned recognition of everything Tim has contributed to the business. I’m confident he will bring the same energy and rigour to the national stage.”
Debenham said he was excited to help shape the next phase of JOLT’s growth.
“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to help shape JOLT’s national sales capability. JOLT is at an exciting point in its growth, and being asked to step into this role means a lot,” he said.
“I’ve loved building the Victorian team and those client relationships won’t change.
“For me, the next chapter is about working with our sales teams across the country, helping them grow, and continuing to show advertisers what a genuinely innovative, purpose-built media network can do for them.
“JOLT’s product is strong and our story is compelling – I want to ensure the right clients hear about it.”
The appointment comes as JOLT expands its footprint globally following its entry into the US market. The company says it is now the world’s largest combined EV charging and digital out-of-home network, offering advertisers access to global scale as well as campaign optimisation and audience insights through its Spark Intelligence platform.
Debenham’s appointment is effective immediately.
