Leading Influencer and creative talent platform theright.fit has recently launched its first app to enhance the way brands connect with content creators and influencers.

Key Features

  • Unique matching algorithm so clients get the most suitable applicants for their roles
  • Self tape or video casting – developed for COVID safe casting and remote working
  • Push notifications – talent will get an immediate notification about a job, which they can then respond to in real time to avoid missing out on a job
  • Improved user experience
  • Brands will see an increase in applicants for jobs

Former head of product at Canva and Atlassian, James Dumay, joined the team to work closely with founder & CEO Taryn Williams (main photo) to create the new feature.

Taryn Williams, said, “With a shift in how people work and their reliance on mobile as a first point of communication, we decided to invest in building our first app for theright.fit. Apps used to be very complex and expensive to build but thanks to the advancements in technology and having a great team on board, led by James Dumay, we were able to create the app in just four months.”

“With the app talent and brands can connect in real time enabling faster responses and an increase in applicants for jobs posted by brands. This in turn streamlines the creative talent booking experience.”

theright.fit first launched in 2016 as a marketplace connecting brands to creative talent and influencers in 2016, with the aim of utilising technology to drive greater connectivity and fair outcomes for models and influencers across media, marketing and advertising. The business experienced a record year in 2021, up 45% YoY, with a historical high in December in the number of jobs posted, booked and talent approved to the marketplace.

Backed by leading VC firm Airtree, theright.fit has more than 17,000 talent on the marketplace and has delivered more than 10,000 campaigns for brands and agencies including Qantas, Canva, Koala, Adore Beauty, Airtasker, Olay, Yalumba Wines and Optus. “The app is used by talent like Olympians James Magnussen and Emily Seebohm, well known influencers like SketchShe & Ellie Gonsalves, and media personalities like Jo Casamento, Lisa Messenger and ‘Commando’ Steve Willis.

I have built a reputation for excellence in public relations, strategic communications and event production over the past 17 years. I founded and run, Sammway, one of Australia’s leading, integrated communications agencies. We help build awareness and position our clients and talent as leaders in their chosen industries. Our services include, public relations, issues management, media strategy, event production and video animation. We work with our clients to develop strategic communications which align with their brand purpose, values and commercial objectives. Our clients include, not for profit organisations, startups, entrepreneurs, fintech, small business owners and media personalities. Where required, we help connect our clients with decision makers in government to ensure they get the best possible coverage and outcomes for their company or campaign. Our work includes content creation, media placement, issues management and development of key messaging and brand strategy. An example of a long standing working relationship is with, former NSW Opposition Leader, Kerry Chikarovski and her government relations firm, Chikarovski & Associates. We manage corporate affairs, media relations and liaise on behalf of clients with bureaucracy and government, at local, state and federal level. Since November 2014 Sammway has worked with Adopt Change, Deborra-lee Furness & National Adoption Awareness Week providing strategic PR and issues based communications. I have enjoyed representing Australia at global events including, United Nations, International Women’s Entrepreneurship Day 2014 and the 2013 G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance (G20YEA) summit, Moscow, Russia. In 2014 I was also selected to speak at an event in Singapore, addressing industry professionals on the importance of PR and media campaigns. Please connect with me if you have a project or brand waiting to connect with the outside world and receive the recognition it deserves. [email protected]
