Ex-IPG Chairman Mark Pejic Returns To Industry As QMS Sports CEO

IPG Mediabrands’ former chairman for Melbourne, Mark Pejic, has been tapped by outdoor company QMS as CEO of its sports division.

B&T understands the announcement of his appointment was made in August as part of the company’s financial results.

However, Pejic only recently updated his LinkedIn page confirming the move.

Pejic stepped down from his role of chairman of IPG Mediabrands Melbourne in late 2017, having joined the agency in early 2016.

He is also a former CEO of MediaCom Australia.

At the time of his departure from IPG Mediabrands, CEO Danny Bass said Pejic had contributed greatly to the company’s success during his two-year stint leading its Melbourne operations.

“As he prepares to move to his next career step, we can’t thank him enough for his time with us,” Bass said.

“Pej has been a big supporter of our evolving business model and has led our transition in Melbourne very effectively. We wish him all the best for the future.”

Commenting on his departure at the time, Pejic said: “I have enjoyed my time leading the Mediabrands Melbourne operation.

“I have a great deal of respect for its people and clients, and wish them the very best moving forward.

“I am excited to be exploring the next chapter of my career.”
