Southern Cross Media (SCA) has appointed Sylvia Wiggins as an independent non-executive director, effective immediately.
Wiggins is a former investment banker and CEO with nearly 30 years of experience across the infrastructure, energy and utilities and financial services sectors among others across Australia, Asia, the UK and Europe.
Wiggins has also been appointed to SCA’s audit and risk committee (ARC). From 1 September 2026, she will become ARC chair, succeeding Teresa Dyson in that role.
“On behalf of the Board, I am pleased to welcome Sylvia to SCA. Her deep audit, risk and financial governance expertise, and her extensive experience as audit committee chair across complex, regulated businesses, make her an excellent addition,” said Dyson.
Wiggins said: “I am delighted to be joining the SCA Board. I look forward to working closely with Teresa and my fellow directors, drawing on my experience across a range of businesses to support SCA’s transformation journey and the creation of long-term shareholder value,” said Wiggins.
Following Ms Wiggins’ appointment, the Board comprises Teresa Dyson (chair), Cathy O’Connor, Marina Go AM, Ryan Stokes AO, Sylvia Wiggins and Rohan Lund, managing director and CEO.
