Droga5 ANZ has been appointed by the New Zealand Olympic Committee to develop the brand strategy and creative campaign platform for the New Zealand Team for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
The appointment will see Droga5 ANZ lead the development of a campaign platform for LA2028, designed to capture the spirit and pride of the New Zealand Team.
The campaign will support the New Zealand Team’s brand presence in the lead-up to the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, which takes place from 14th July to 30th July 2028.
Droga5 will work with the New Zealand Olympic Committee to build the platform, with the campaign expected to launch in July 2027, one year out from the Games.
“The New Zealand Team has always represented something bigger than sport, carrying the stories, pride and spirit of Aotearoa New Zealand. In the build-up to Los Angeles 2028, we looked for a partner who could help us create an enduring platform that resonates deeply with New Zealanders and shows up powerfully on the world stage. Droga5 stood out for its strategic rigour, creative ambition and proven ability to build platforms that connect with people in a meaningful way,” said New Zealand Olympic Committee head of brand and marketing Alex Cooper-Cuthbert.
“It is a privilege to partner with the New Zealand Olympic Committee on a platform for the New Zealand Team. LA28 is an extraordinary stage, one of the biggest sporting events in the world and we’re focused on building a platform that feels genuinely New Zealand, connects with Kiwis at home, and takes the New Zealand Team into the Games with real impact. We can’t wait to get to work,” said Droga5 ANZ principal director Steve Kane.
