Ford Australia has accelerated its partnership with the WNBL and will now be the presenting partner for the 2026-27 season.

The strengthened partnership will see Ford put its full power behind the WNBL to further drive the growth of women’s basketball right across the country by celebrating the intensity, skill, emotion and energy that makes the WNBL one of Australia’s most thrilling sports competitions.

WNBL chief of strategy and basketball partnerships officer Lauren Jackson said Ford’s passion for basketball made the partnership a natural fit for the League.

“The WNBL is entering period of enormous growth, and having Ford put its full power behind our League is a fantastic endorsement of the global and local momentum around women’s basketball.

“Ford has a deep connection with basketball communities right across Australia, so there’s a natural alignment with the WNBL and the opportunity to bring that connection to the elite level of the game.

“Our FULL POWER. FEEL IT LIVE. campaign is all about capturing what makes the WNBL so special – the energy, intensity and emotion you experience when you see these incredible athletes compete live. We’re excited to have Ford alongside us as we bring this energy to new audiences and continue to build for a strong future.”

Ford has a long-standing connection to basketball in Australia, including supporting more than 200 community clubs across the country thanks to its 180-strong dealership network. From grassroots basketball through to the elite level, Ford’s commitment to the game spans all levels.

Its partnership with the WNBL further drives this legacy, bringing Ford closer to Australia’s leading women’s basketball competition and its growing national audience.

“We’re proud to support the basketball athletes, fans and communities who bring so much energy to the game,” said Ambrose Henderson, director of marketing, Ford Australia.

“Becoming the WNBL’s Presenting Partner is a natural next step for Ford as we renew our focus on Australian basketball. The League’s momentum reflects the strength and potential of the women’s game, and we’re excited to help more people experience and enjoy the WNBL across the country.”

As presenting partner, Ford will have a major presence throughout the WNBL season, connecting with fans across the country and supporting the League’s continued growth and visibility.
