Five agencies from the Dentsu Aegis Network have been appointed by Bowel Cancer Australia to consolidate and deliver annual awareness and fundraising campaigns.

Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in Australia, affecting one in 13 people in their lifetime, yet is one of the most treatable cancers if detected early. Bowel Cancer Australia is dedicated to prevention, early diagnosis, research, quality treatment and care for everyone affected by the disease.

Dentsu Aegis Network agencies Dentsu Mitchell, Haystac Community, Columbus, Posterscope and The StoryLab are involved in the deal that will see the creation of a series of integrated public awareness and fundraising campaigns annually for the charity.

Julien Wiggins, CEO of Bowel Cancer Australia said, “Over the past five years, we’ve worked with several agencies within the Dentsu Aegis Network on a project basis and have been impressed with their passion, dedication and ultimately the impact achieved through their work. Their support has helped the charity make real change happen across the continuum of care.”

Ron Phillips, group account director at Dentsu Mitchell added, “We’re incredibly proud to be able to offer Bowel Cancer Australia access to all of our specialist agencies and support the important work they do to reduce the number of Australians affected by this terrible, yet treatable disease every year.”

Stephanie Bansemer-Brown, marketing and publicity manager of Bowel Cancer Australia also commented on the news, saying, “We’re delighted to be working closely with the Dentsu Aegis Network, so we can harness the combined force of its agencies to ensure our dynamic public awareness and fundraising campaigns continue to challenge perceptions and motivate action.

“We have already seen fantastic results this February and June with Don’t Wait Until It’s Too Late and Bowel Cancer Awareness Month and look forward to developing engaging campaigns with the Dentsu Aegis Network including Meat Free Week and Decembeard.”

The awareness and fundraising campaigns include media, digital performance and public relations services.
