Jameel Motors, the official Australian distributor for Geely’s electric commercial vehicle brand Farizon, has launched a review of its creative and media accounts.
B&T understands the review is part of a 12-month procurement process, with incumbent agencies Traffic (creative) and Yango (media) both re-pitching to retain the business.
Traffic was appointed to lead Farizon’s Australian launch last year, overseeing brand strategy, communications, creative development, social media, content, website and digital design.
Yango has also worked with Farizon for the past 12 months, leading its media strategy, planning and buying for the Australian launch. While Yango won the account last year, it delayed making an official announcement until June this year.
Traffic and Yango declined to comment.
Farizon is part of Geely Holding Group, which also owns Volvo, Polestar and Lotus, and is one of the fastest-growing new energy commercial vehicle brands globally.
The brand entered the Australian market in April last year under the leadership of Jameel Motors, with its all-electric Farizon SuperVan aimed at tradies, fleets and businesses transitioning to electric vehicles.
The Australian launch formed part of Jameel Motors’ global expansion strategy with Geely Commercial Vehicles, while addressing growing demand for more sustainable commercial transport.
The initial Australian range included two models, the Farizon SV SuperVan and the H9E truck range.
B&T has contacted Jameel Motors for comment.
