BBC Newsreader’s Hilarious Reaction To Godawful Dog Surfing Story

We all groan when our stupid bosses make us do something we’d rather not. And BBC newsreader Simon McCoy took it even further when he was made to host a story about a dog surfing competition on Monday night’s bulletin.

The rather proper McCoy’s hilarious reaction to hosting the fluff piece includes sighing, sobbing and making no attempt to contain his disdain at the cute doggies out for a paddle. Check out McCoy’s deliciously cold  delivery below:

He even introduces the report with a qualifying comment, “Just bear in mind it is August,” meaning it’s holiday time in the UK and, therefore, the news service will publish any old crap to fill its space.

“That’s a shame, we’ve run out of pictures,” he says unconvincingly as the video comes to an abrupt end.

By this stage McCoy looks like he’s about to kill someone before throwing to his weatherman who adds, “I think that’s the best thing I’ve ever seen, Simon. They give you all the biggest stories, don’t they?”
