Samantha Bushell

Samantha Bushell is someone with well-rounded experiences in life and business, from being a student to a receptionist, a Navy sailor, healthcare volunteer and an ice-cream waitress. This has allowed her to discover her passion for improving the future of the aged care industry and supporting young people with an interested in aged care. She created The Acorn Project to do just that. An organisation dedicated to valuing and supporting our young employees in the aged care workforce. The Acorn Project supports aged care organisations to develop effective leadership programs, build innovative projects that attract and retain young talent, and build the next generation of aged care champions. Samantha is also actively involved in The Australian Association of Gerontology (WA), the Vic Park Collective, and ACORNS – Young People interested in Aged Care (LinkedIn Group). Drop Samantha a line to discuss opportunities for public speaking or (better yet) how The Acorn Project is raising awareness and building understanding of issues affecting recruitment and retention of your young talent.
