John Hipwell

================ John Hipwell is one of Australia’s leading and most experienced film & TV producers with extensive credits on documentaries, feature films, corporate productions (business communications) and international co-productions. Trained at the VCA (Swinburne Campus) in film/TV production, his rites of passage were founded on the early iconic films such as "Alvin Purple", "Snap Shot", “Eliza Fraser” and "Mad Max". As an executive producer, producer, director and writer/director John has completed literally hundreds of film and TV productions. He has received various film and TV awards for his documentary and feature film productions and his New Media work is collected by public institutions. John recently completed Co Executive Producing the Australian/Canadian, official, co-production, Sci Fi feature film, "Arctic Blast" and producing the documentary "KoHoNas" which screened on SBS TV in November 2009. His most recent Documentary (Producer) “Back to My Roots” screened globally on the BBC World News network in April this year (2010). ============== I have over three decades of experience as a skilled film and television production professional with 24 feature film credits (1 co-excecutive producer & 8 Producer), over 20 international and or national TV documentary credits (10 Production manager & 13 Producer), over 100 hours of TV drama production experience (1st assistant director), 21 cinema commercials director/producer, over 60 Corporate videos as producer and director and many other creative credits on numerous short film, event an new media productions. I continuously seek challenging and rewarding management, producer and director positions in the film, TV, arts and entertainment industries.
