Bohemia quashes Ikon merger rumours

Bohemia has come out to flatly deny that it intends to enter a merger with Ikon.

The agency said mounting speculation that they were about to merge with sister agency Ikon, to form a full-service model, was “absolutely incorrect and has no basis whatsoever”.

Brett Dawson (pictured), Bohemia's founder and managing partner said: “Bohemia is majority independently owned, has a very clear and unique growth strategy and will continue to focus on this by delivering superior results for Bohemia’s clients.

He added that Bohemia is proud of its relationship with STW and said that it fosters healthy relationships with any agency they share a client with, whether STW owned or not.

“Ikon is a great agency and I wish them the best in their restructure,” Dawson said.

Earlier today, Ikon confirmed that it expects to announce a new CEO early next week after Dan Johns quit the agency after more than a decade.

It was also announced that founder Simon White will be stepping back into a chairman role.

Digital director Ellie Rogers, people and culture director Leonie Kerley were also confirmed as leaving the agency.
