The Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) has announced the winners of the 46th annual Golden Target Awards.

The awards were presented through a combination of venues in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane alongside a digital broadcast online.

Showcasing the best of what the industry has to offer were the two platinum award winners.

The Mint Partners won a platinum award for excellence in measurement and evaluation for their ‘Klama and Westfield: Shop Instore’ campaign.

The other platinum award was given to We are Different, which won the national campaign of the year award for the ‘GME: Where the bloody hell am I?’ campaign.

Some other notable wins include Icon Agency taking gold as the large agency of the year, FORWARD Agency snagging gold as agency team of the year, and CampaignLab winning gold for the PR-led brand partnership campaign award for the ‘Fujifilm: The GFX Suite’ award.

Newly appointed PRIA president, Shane Allison, said the winners demonstrated the influence and impact of effective communication in 2021.

“The courage, curiosity, passion and grit on display at our Golden Target Awards demonstrates the influence that effective communicators wield,” said Allison.

“Congratulations to all of our winners and finalists – you can hold your head up high today knowing that you and your work have been recognised as among the best and brightest our industry has to offer.

“I’d like to thank our chief judge Jackie Crossman for her dedication and hard work in delivering Australia’s most prestigious communication award program.”

Outgoing president, Leigh McClusky, awarded deputy president Helen Hutchings the presidents award and echoed Allison’s sentiments.

“Congratulations to all of our winners and finalists, members and staff on an extraordinary year. I’m looking forward – COVID permitting – to travelling again and getting out to meet as many of our members as possible.”
