All eyes were on Married At First Sight last night as mean girl Brook faced the music for the chaos she unleashed at the dinner party. Or lack of a better term, didn’t face.
A total TV national reach of 3,541,000 tuned into channel Nine last night as the couples reunited for the second commitment ceremony of the season. This huge reach and total TV national average audience of 2,101,000 was particularly interested in what the experts had to say to Brook after she belittled most of the cast at the dinner party.
Unfortunately, justice was hardly served as Brook—mid-way through being called out—couldn’t handle the heat anymore and did the runner. She told the experts she needed to use the bathroom, but in true escape artist form, failed to return.
What seemed to get the Gold Coast located bride hot under the collar was expert Mel labelling her “the most vicious woman” she has seen in her 13 years on MAFS. Mel didn’t stop there, she also called her a hypocrite for previously getting upset with Chris about how he spoke about women.
Brook didn’t like this and left the experiment. It’s assumed she is no longer with Chris—even though the official answer wasn’t revealed—but viewers will hopefully witness the extent of the dramatic exit tonight.
Interestingly, it was expert Alessandra who questioned the sincerity of the apology she gave moments before walking out.
“It invalidates the entire apology and accountability,” Alessandra whispered. “True colours.”
For the rest of the couples, Danny and Bec seemed to be on the rocks after the dinner party drama, where as, Stella and Filip and Alissa and David have only grown stronger.
Also, Rebecca and Steve have official departed the experiment.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! came to a nail-biting conclusion last night for a reach of 942,000 and an average audience of 571,000. In the grand finale, Concetta Caristo was crowned Queen of the Jungle, earning her a lifetime of glory as well as $100,000 for her chosen charity, Full Stop Australia.

Emotions were running high in the camp the final three, Caristo, Gary Sweet, and Luke Bateman celebrated the highs, lows, laughs, and many tears they shared over the past few weeks.
A constant effervescent ray of sunshine in camp, Caristo’s positivity radiated through the jungle regardless of the obstacles that were thrown her way.
Speaking to hosts Robert Irwin and Julia Morris ahead of her crowning, she said, “I just want to make people happy, and I just want to be happy. Like, how lucky am I… where I get to be with who I’m with, what I’m doing. To me, I have to be positive. There’s so much to be grateful for, there’s so much to be excited about.”
Tackling every obstacle with an enormous smile, giggle, and an obligatory victory dance, Caristo said she couldn’t believe half the things she did, even after doing them.
“The whole reason I’m here is to push through and to tell myself I can do this, and push through the fear. Otherwise, what’s the literal point?” She concluded.
Seven’s most watched entertainment program of the night was Australian Idol pulling in a reach of 1,769,000 and an average audience of 817,000.
Over the weekend the nation was predominately tuning in to the Winter Olympics as Milano Cortina came to a close. Australia finished its best ever Winter Olympics campaign with three gold, two silver and one bronze.
