In the lead-up to this year’s B&T Awards (presented by YouTube), we’re sitting down with each of our sponsors to find out why they’ve decided to throw their support behind the event, and how they recognise and celebrate their own achievements and success.
Here, we chat with DisplayWise’s general manager of marketing, Lisa Cachia…
Why did DisplayWise decide to support this year’s B&T Awards?
DisplayWise first became involved with the B&T Awards in 2019 as a presenting partner of the event. Having worked alongside the marketing and media industry for over 20 years, we see the awards and the brands and agencies represented as a complementary fit to what we do – creating experiences, engagement and driving connections. We’re thrilled to again be a sponsor of these awards and recognise the people that are passionate about amplifying brands and pushing boundaries.
What are you most looking forward to at this year’s B&T Awards?
The B&T Awards is always a great evening. This year, more than ever, will be a time to celebrate the resilience and excellence of work in the creative industries after such a turbulent period during the pandemic. Each year, I love to see the work created by the best in our industry. It has been a pleasure to be involved in the judging process – I’m very keen to see who has won!
DisplayWise is sponsoring the Marketing Team of the Year category at this year’s B&T Awards. What will the winner of this award represent?
Regardless of industry or company size, the pandemic has affected all of us in different ways. Some brands have thrived, others have had to fight. Whichever end of the spectrum your brand sits in, getting through the pandemic is an achievement. I’m sure there isn’t a marketing team that hasn’t had to adapt – create plans, change plans, adjust budgets or diversify. The Marketing Team of the Year this year I think will need to show how they have driven results, displayed innovation and created growth opportunities in the current climate.
In what ways does DisplayWise recognise and celebrate its own achievements and success, be they big or small?
The key measure of our success is the repeat work we receive from both our brand and agency clients. Their loyalty means that we are delivering, both in terms of the quality and creativity that goes into the spaces that we create and the service delivery experience we provide. As a team, we all look forward to hearing the ‘office bell’ – no matter the size of the project, for every brief we win, we ring the bell and celebrate.
What’s your message to all of the finalists for this year’s B&T Awards?
Well done! Being a finalist in this environment is a huge achievement. Celebrate getting this far, and good luck to everyone on awards night.
Do you have any tips for the MCs on holding a crowd at what is sure to be a pretty raucous event?
I think they will have a challenge on their hands this year! I’m sure all attendees will be so excited to be out and mingling with others in their industry after so many months of lockdowns. The night is a celebration and everyone has earned their place to be here. Good luck to the MCs in keeping the crowd in check.
The B&T Awards are a good excuse for attendees to don their glad rags in celebration. Do you have an outfit picked out already?
Not yet! But grateful retail has reopened – I’ll be hitting the shops this week.
The B&T Awards 2021, presented by YouTube, will be held on Friday 12 November at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion, kicking off at 6pm (AEDT). Grab your ticket HERE now before they sell out!
B&T can’t wait to welcome guests to the Hordern Pavilion for a COVID-safe event! Adhering to the current NSW Public Health Order, all guests are to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or NSW Health-approved vaccination exemption upon entry to the venue.
Oh, and if you’re wondering which companies and campaigns are up for an award this year, check out parts one and two of our shortlist.
Once again, a huge thanks to YouTube and the rest of our fabulous sponsors for making this year’s B&T Awards possible!
