It was all speed and action on Top Gear Australia last night as former politician Julie Bishop took to the track for a hot lap.
Leaving her heels outside of the car, Bishop jumped into the driver’s seat and took off on the track. Getting off to a slow start, she quickly found her pace with host Beau Ryan, labelling her approach to the hook “nice and aggressive”.
“Realising my inner Lewis Hamilton,” Bishop said from the driver’s seat. “I should break more, said no one on a race track… ever”.

Elsewhere, Beau, Blair and Jonathan travelled to Texas to test electric trucks and asked if Australia was ready for them.
The hilarious stunt did the numbers for 10, raking in a total TV national reach of 792,000 and a national average of 269,000 – making it 10’s most-watched program for the night (in terms of total reach).
