The Western Australian Government’s master media contract will come up for pitch in January, according to reports.
The City of Adelaide (Council) and Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA) are also looking to find a new media agency after its deal with Wavemaker and Carat expired under the South Australian Government Master Media Scheme.
The WA Government account is expected to go through an open tender. The department anticipates that some creative services may also be available via the proposed common use arrangement, according to AdNews.
The account is the largest in the state with billings reported to be around $60 million. The contract splits booking and buying, media strategy and channel planning and additional advertising services into three separate categories.
Over in South Australia, meanwhile, the appointed agency will work on a project basis with budget breakdown required for all campaign elements.
Agencies are required to include a pricing model or rate card for quoting projects and campaigns.
They must are also respond to a scenario brief based on the City of Adelaide’s Christmas campaign.
The tender documents said to “work on the assumption that the contract will be over three years with the following annual budget: City of Adelaide – $150,000.00 per annum and Adelaide Economic Development Agency – $400,000.00 per annum.”
The contract is 40 per cent advertising, 10 per cent telecommunications media services, 15 per cent advertising agency services, 15 per cent advertising campaign services, 10 per cent printed media and 10 per cent photographic and recording media.
The open tender closes November 8 at 2pm.
The winning tender will start early January.
