Last night, Channel 10‘s Big Brother continued to sit just below the top-10 mark, with Monday night’s episode bringing in a Total TV National Reach of 1,045,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 578,000.
It saw Jane get evicted from the show, with her farewell words some of her harshest to her fellow housemates. In a video that was played after she left, she told several people she hoped never to see them again in the outside world.
The 67-year-old Melbourne retiree’s brutal parting message had the housemates reeling, as they gathered on the sofa in Monday night’s episode to watch the special message she’d recorded them in the event she be evicted.
Jane started with some positive comments for Holly and Colin, the house lovebirds, before sticking the boot in to some of the other people in the house.
She instructed NSW single mum Coco to “get off your butt and start helping around the house. Single mum? A lot of us are single mums, that’s not an excuse. Help more”.
She had even harsher words for Melbourne barber Vinnie, telling him: “You are fake. You join in conversations with good advice when you know there is a group and the cameras are on you. I don’t think I will ever see you again on the outside. You’re fake”.
But Sunshine Coast tradie Bruce copped her worst words: “Bruce. I don’t like you. I don’t ever want to see you on the outside. I feel sorry for any girl that ever goes out with you,” she said.
“You know what? You’re not the king of the world. You know what, leave Coco alone. Leave her alone, stay away from each other,” she told the pair.
Travel Guides won the Ratings with an encore episode on Nine, raking in a Total TV National Reach of 2,016,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 792,000.
Over on Nine, A Current Affair divulged a Newcastle beauty business owned by Madeline Fakhoury that has been accused of unhygienic practices, putting customers at risk.
Aussies also tuned in to a string of films and docos, for instance Nine’s Crocodile Dundee II and Seven‘s Why Planes Vanish: The Hunt for MH370 and Border Patrol.
On A Current Affair, the owner of a Newcastle beauty therapy business has strongly denied putting clients at risk following a string of allegations from former employees, customers and her own son.
“Everyone is safe with me. I’ve been in the industry long enough to know what is right and what is wrong,” Skin Gym owner Fakhoury told A Current Affair.
The business owner was questioned following accusations of unhygienic practices, inexperienced staff performing high risk treatments and some employees claiming they received their qualifications on WhatsApp.
A former customer who first came across Madeline when she was sold a $3000 Skin Gym package in 2023 decided to speak out about her experience with the beauty business owner. Charlene claimed she poured her life savings into the beauty company and has very little left to show for it.
“I said to her that I had worked hard and I had been a property investor,” former Skin Gym customer and businesswoman Charlene said.
“She had asked me, over these coffee periods, you know, would you be interested in investing?”
Charlene said she was excited about the opportunity to join what she believed was a successful local business in the area.
“She had told me about this machine that she was looking at, that would upgrade the service she could offer in the clinic … it was $60,000. And she said, ‘you know, if you went halves with me, I’ll give you half of the money that I received from treatments’,” Charlene said.
She claimed Madeline asked to borrow $5000 for bills and cash flow, $15,200 for Google ads and that she loaned two micro needling advanced tools for the clinic, before investing $40,000 in a skincare line the Skin Gym boss was developing in South Korea.
“And then, over time, during the renovations, I received another lengthy message on WhatsApp asking for a further $50,000 for ‘our’ beautiful clinic,” Charlene said. She claims to date she has only received $1000 in return.
SafeWork NSW is aware of work health and safety concerns regarding Skin Gym Australia, which is now the subject of an investigation.
