Last night, the news stole the top two TV ratings spots with British game show The 1% club UK coming in at third on Seven.
Aussies tuned in to watch a bunch of Brits stumble over common sense questions for their chance at winning £100,000. It boasted a total TV national reach of 1,607,000 and a total TV national average audience of 907,000.
Channel Nine’s new episode of Events That Changed Australia focused on the 2009 Black Saturday fires that took the lives of 173 Australians. The episode revisited what is considered one of Australia’s most catastrophic days in history.
The episode centred on February 7, 2009 when temperatures soared to 46 degrees Celsius in parts of Victoria while winds exceeded 100km per hour.
The docuseries brought in a national reach of 1,457,000 and an average audience of 643,000.
In twelfth came Andrew: The Downfall Of A Prince, also on the Nine network with a national reach of 1,034,000 and an average audience of 469,000.
The documentary special details the notorious Prince’s fall from grace. The special included everything from this BBC interview fallout to legal scrutiny to his “withdrawal” of royal duties.
In sixteenth was the Melbourne International Comedy Festival on Ten with a reach of 743,000 and an average audience of 213,000.
