Married At First Sight returned to the couch, with each couple squaring up to the experts about how their marriage is going. For some it was all sunshine and rainbows and for others it was a reality check.
More than 3.2 million Aussies tuned in as Mel got an absolute grilling from relationship expert John. Mel is coupled with farmer Luke, and has admitted to not giving it a full crack. This is due to him not being the blue eyed, blonde hair bombshell she asked for, as well as Luke making a few nervous slip ups on their wedding day.
Midway through her speech to why she has been acting the way she has, John cut in with an absolute zinger: “You need a wake-up call,” he tells her. He reminds her that her closed-mindedness is the complete opposite of what the experiment is all about. This drama or as Gen Z call it “tea”, is why MAFS continues to pull in total TV national average audiences of 1,973,000.
After the chat with the experts Mel unsurprisingly wrote leave, where as Luke wats to stay, keeping the couple in the experiment for another week.
The episode concluded with an almighty blow up between brides Stella and Brook.
Australian Idol was the most watched entertainment program for Seven, attracting a reach of 1,945,000 and an average audience of 886,000. This eclipsed the top entertainment program for 10, which was I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.
The episode which saw Mia Favola—daughter of ex-AFL star, Brendon Favola, dumped from the jungle had 912,000 national viewers and an average audience of 490,000.
Across Seven and Nine, sporting fans were treated to the Winter Olympics, the Rugby League All Stars and LIV Golf.
