Seven Network’s Australian Idol hit the high note last night boasting a Total TV National Reach of 1,653,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 833,000.
This week its transformation week, all the contestant have been tasked with reinventing themselves, creating a new sound and showcasing a different side of themselves to the judges.
Judges used their ‘Fast Passes’ to fast track contestants straight through to the Top 12 live performance, reserved only for the most entertaining and captivating performances.
As the competition gets fierce, the top 12 were finalised in last nights episode. Rounding out the group was Bunbury teen John Standley who wowed the judges with a rendition of James Brown’s ‘I Got You’.
Other lucky contestants who progressed include fan favourites Charlie Moon, Harlan Goode, Kalani Artis, Wanwue Tarpeh and Tre Samuels.
Married At First Sight once again took the ratings crown with a National Reach 2,983,000 and an Average Audience of 1,943,000. The couples came back to Sydney following the notorious couples retreat however the fallout of Bec’s ill-choice of words over the weekend managed to surpass boarders and spilling over into a third consecutive episode.
This time however, Bec forced an apology from Juliette who called her a “c**t” and a “freak”.
When all the husbands and wives sat down around the dining room table, Bec took the opportunity to demand an apology for everyone to hear.
“What have I ever done to you, to warrant you calling me those names,” she shouted towards Juliette.
Flustered and put on the spot, Juliette apologised for her poor choice of words but explained that the way Bec carried on about the whole “finger banging” debacle rubbed her and numerous other people up the wrong way.
Nine’s Naked City: Hitmen was once again a hit bringing in a National Reach of 1,376,000 and an Average Audience 535,000.
