Last night, viewers tuned in to stream Love Island Australia, bringing in a BVOD National Average Audience of 330,000 for Nine.
Gabby was the first bombshell of the season to enter the Love Island Australia villa. Now, she’s the first islander to quit the hit dating competition solo, giving up the chance to find love and win $50,000.
On the ABC, Hard Quiz raked in a Total TV National Average Audience of 554,000.
Over on Seven, Border Patrol brought in a Total TV National Reach of 1,089,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 608,000.
Channel 10‘s 10 News brought in a Total TV National Reach of 540,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 274,000.
Gabby said the decision to leave had been “brewing”.
If there was one islander that influenced Gabby’s decision to leave, it was her ex Jotham, which she had lots to say about in her exit interview.
“It definitely felt good saying my final piece to Jotham. I don’t think he realised how much he hurt me,” Gabby said.
Gabby and Jotham were one of the strongest couples in the villa until the arrival of Jaide, which saw Jotham’s decision to ‘switch’ his couple after Hotel Amor, leaving Gabby blindsided.
“I wish him all the best in life and at the end of the day we weren’t compatible,” Gabby said.
Gabby shared that she had not stayed in contact with Jotham since leaving the villa and that unlike other co-stars, her and Jotham are not exactly friends.
“And I will keep it that way. I wouldn’t be friends with an ex on the outside,” she said.
Following the explosive events of Hotel Amor, Gabby chose to couple up with Dylan, but admitted she regrets the decision.
“If I could have changed one thing, I would have dumped Dylan instead when I saved his ass after Hotel Amor,” she said.
She clarified Dylan was “a nice guy” but he moved on very quickly with Kodi when he had the chance. In the end, this left Gabby with Josh.
When the islanders had to vote for the couple they thought had the least chance of continuing their connection on the outside, Gabby put her foot down.
“F–k the vote. Let’s cut the bullshit,” she said.
She directed her attention to Jotham, and told him: “Jotham, you are the biggest part of my journey in here. I did have super genuine feelings for you, and at one point I was genuinely falling for you”.
“My Love Island journey definitely came to an end when you walked through the doors after Hotel Amor… and it’s been a f–king struggle since then”.
“I think with the vote tonight, everyone else deserves to be in the finale so it was time for me to leave,” Gabby said in her exit interview.
