Adam’s calculated refusal to share his rented tool sparked site-wide tension on Wednesday’s episode of The Block, overshadowing Lisa’s win in the Freedom living room design challenge.
The Block was back with its usual mix of tension and triumph. Lisa took out a side challenge win however Adam and Jolene stole the spotlight when they caused chaos by hogging shared equipment.
Adam had already been sitting on insulation batts, refusing to share them with the other contestants, but it was his awkward standoff with Courtney over a hired saw that became the main storyline of the episode.
The episode came in third with a Total TV National Reach of 1,785,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 1,005,000.
Crowd favourite Home and Away wasn’t far behind in fifth with a national reach of 1,480,000 and an average audience of 957,000.
Quiz shows had a moment with three formats cracking the top ten. Nine’s Tipping Point Australia boasted a national reach of 1,455,000 and an average audience of 799,000. Seven’s The 1% Club UK had a national reach of 1,433,000 and an average audience of 830,000, while also on Seven The Chase Australia had a national reach of 1,259,000 and an average audience of 617,000.
Nine’s new docuseries Steve Irwin: A Wild Life made its debut. The series draws on never before seen footage and exclusive interview of the Aussie icon to give an unfiltered look into his life and the legacy he has left behind. It had a national reach of 1,311,000 and an average audience of 694,000.
The Traitors Australia on Ten kept the pressure on, with Lawson rallying numbers in an attempt to rid of suspected Traitor Kirby Bentley. It had a national reach of 970,000 and an average audience of 596,000.
SBS managed to crack the top thirty on Wednesday with Alone Australia. It had a national reach of 504,000 and an average audience of 299,000.
