Tuesday TV Wrap: The Greek Islands With Julia Bradbury Proves Mostly Tragedy For The ABC

Despite its very exotic title, The Greek Islands With Julia Bradbury didn’t pull in too many holiday-pining viewers for the ABC last night.

The travel show, hosted by famed British host Julia Bradbury, could only muster 311,000 OzTAM metro viewers and that’s despite its 8pm time slot.

In what was arguably a quiet night of TV, with no show hitting the magic million mark last night.

Seven’s 6pm news was the standout with 923,000 viewers, while The Block was the most-watched entertainment show posting 901,000. Again, all numbers OzTAM metro.

Nine won Tuesday with 30.9 per cent of all of last night’s eyeballs (all channels). Seven did 25.9 per cent, 10 did well with 20.7 per cent, the ABC had 14.6 per cent (thanks largely to the misfiring Julia Bradbury) and the SBS hung on with 7.7 per cent.

In the battle for breakfast, Sunrise (244,000) beat rival Today (193,000).

Other highlights for Seven included Home and Away (582,000) and The Chase (489,000), while SAS Australia: Hell Week continues having a hell few weeks, it could only do 328,000.

Nine also did well with its 6pm news (821,000), ACA (728,000), Hot Seat (373,000), Tipping Point (288,000) and Nine’s Afternoon News (267,000).

Best for 10 were The Dog House (507,000), The Project (416,000), The Cheap Seats (358,000) and 10 News First (299,000).

Greeks aside, the ABC’s evening ran this way – 7pm news (636,000) and 7.30 (416,000).

SBS’ best was a repeat of Great American Railroad Journeys that chugged its way to 198,000.
