The Park Hires Steve Elston For Creative Director Role

Global brand experience agency, The Park has appointed Steve Elston as creative director to help the agency grow across Australia and the Southern hemisphere.

As the first creative director in The Park’s Australian business, Elston will lead the creative direction of major campaigns and brand activations across the region. He will also work closely with agency’s London-based creative director Josh Stika.

The appointment follows a series of successful collaborations between Elston and The Park, where he played a key role in shaping creative outcomes for clients including CommBank, and CHU Underwriting Agencies.

Elston brings international experience having worked with some of the world’s leading creative agencies in both the UK and Australia such as Grey London and MullenLowe. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he has led creative for global advertising campaigns and brand experiences for brands like Hugo Boss and Swarovski, while also helping businesses establish and grow high-performing in-house creative teams and departments from the ground up.

The move comes as Sydney-based agency The Park celebrates five years in Australia and continues to build momentum with a growing portfolio of global and local clients including Pinterest, China Airlines and ABI Interiors.

“The Park has built a reputation for creating bold, culturally connected experiences that genuinely cut through – the kind of work every creative wants to be part of,” commented Elston.

“What immediately stood out to me though was the ambition of the team and the energy around the business. Erika and the wider Australian team have created something incredibly exciting here, and there’s a real opportunity to push the creative offering even further as the agency continues to grow.”

“This is a hugely important appointment for the agency as we enter an exciting new chapter of growth. Steve brings an incredible mix of strategic thinking, creative leadership and cultural insight, and we know he will play a major role in shaping the future of our creative output both locally and internationally.”

Continuing its Australian expansion, The Park has also appointed Erin Cato as experiential executive, who will support the team across its growing portfolio of clients.
