ABC claimed the top-watched show of Sunday night with its Doc Martin finale pulling an impressive 1.04 million viewers.
However, last night’s OzTAM figures could well be more proof that the under 35s aren’t tuning-in to free-to-air TV.
Shows that would possibly attract younger eyeballs, Nine’s Family Food Fight (552,000), Seven’s The Wall (634,000) and Ten’s Sunday Project (339,000) didn’t particularly rate.
While shows like Doc Martin, the ABC’s 7pm news bulletin (907,000) and a Paul Kelly concert on the ABC (438,000) all did well.
Seven won the night with 32.4 per cent audience share, followed by Nine with 26.9 per cent, the ABC with 21.4 per cent, Ten could only muster 13.1 per cent and SBS had 6.1 per cent.
Seven’s 6pm news (932,000) beat Channel Nine (889,000). However, 60 Minutes got one back (736,000) beating Seven’s Sunday Night (693,000).
For Ten, The Sunday Project (339,000) was its best followed by Bull (300,000) and Wisdom of the Crowd (286,000).
