The Influence Group’s Social Soup has announced the appointment of Alice Davidson (main photo) as Head of Partnerships and Strategy.

Davidson will join in January, reporting to Social Soup’s Managing Director, Katie Palmer-Rose (main photo).

She is currently Head of INCA, GroupM’s influencer and content marketing solution. Before GroupM, she was Integrated Planning Director at UM Asia-Pacific. She is also a former Content Partnerships Associate Director at Reprise Australia, managing the content partnership team across UM and Initiative.

Palmer-Rose said: “Social Soup’s focus is to put influence at the strategic core of channel planning by leveraging data around how to meet consumers where they are. Alice brings unparalleled influence planning and client partnership expertise to drive forward a true omnichannel influence future. It’s an exciting time for our business and we can’t wait to welcome Alice to the team.”

Davidson is the fourth new senior executive to join Social Soup this year, following the appointments of Chris Burt-Allan as the company’s first Creator Director, Pete Hong as Influence Director, and Hayley Spence as Head of Clients.

Davidson said: “I am thrilled to be joining a team of experts who are equally passionate about the power of influence and its efficacy in achieving real impact and business needs.

“With the rapid growth of the influencer marketing sector and constant developments in how the activity is planned, bought and measured, it’s an exciting time to join a future-focused team to help create truly meaningful connections between brands and consumers, via authentic creator voices and influence.”

Social Soup is part of the fast-growing marketing and strategic consulting business, The Influence Group, which also owns the strategic consulting and insights company Pollinate. Together, Social Soup and Pollinate employ 50 people around Australia and have recorded revenue growth of 30 per cent a year over the past five years.
