Youth publishing brand PEDESTRIAN.TV has announced the appointment of Rhys Mugdan to fill the newly created role of group partnerships manager and Tinder lead.
The appointment follows news earlier this month that PEDESTRIAN.TV had formed an exclusive reseller partnership with Tinder/Match Media Group.
Mugdan joins PEDESTRIAN.TV from his previous role as the senior sales lead at Snapchat, and will be supported by advertising and partnerships manager Dana Fletcher.
Rachel Tikey, head of partnerships for NSW at PEDESTRIAN.TV, said: “We are thrilled to have Rhys onboard at Pedestrian Group.
“His commercial vision and creative mind will further ensure the proposition for our agency and client partners is powerful and, more importantly, effective.
“Whilst the Tinder partnership announcement will see Pedestrian Group’s strength of reaching and resonating with young Australians continue to grow.”
Roly Elliott, regional vice president of sales for Tinder and Match Media Group, said: “Pedestrian was a natural fit to represent Tinder’s Millennial audience and native ad solutions in the Australian region.
“It is the first time Tinder has launched a partnership of this kind in Australia. Their local expertise and existing relationships with advertisers will be valuable in growing our presence in market.”
