Scroll Media has secured an exclusive representation agreement with AccuWeather, giving the Australian firm sole rights to sell the weather platform’s premium advertising inventory across Australia and New Zealand.
The deal positions Scroll Media to bring AccuWeather’s hyper-local forecasting data into the region’s advertising market, enabling brands to activate campaigns based on real-time weather conditions and shifting consumer intent.
Scroll Media Managing Director Jane Ormsby said weather plays a critical role in shaping everyday decisions, from leisure activities to purchasing behaviour, making it a powerful contextual signal for advertisers.
“From practical choices like outdoor activities to lifestyle decisions such as going to the beach, it’s a powerful driver of behaviour,” Ormsby said, adding that AccuWeather’s accuracy makes it a strong partner for data-led campaigns.
AccuWeather’s international sales lead Brian Lavery: “We are thrilled to expand our successful partnership with this exclusive representation agreement.”
“Australian traffic on AccuWeather has grown substantially to over 2 million monthly users, driven by ongoing enhancements to our data precision and forecast reliability. This surge in our user base enhances opportunities for both mass-reach and highly localised campaigns across Australia and New Zealand,” he said.
Under the partnership, advertisers will gain access to a suite of ad formats and audience segments spanning weather, health and lifestyle signals, designed to reach users at moments when environmental context is most relevant.
