Santa Abducts And Tortures Single Mum In 2016’s Creepiest Christmas Ad

A Christmas ad for Credit Bank of Moscow has got people in a right festive tizz after it took a rather strange tact to spread the cheer – a creepy Santa who kidnaps and tortures a single mother.

The ad – that runs for a whopping five-plus minutes – is undoubtedly beautifully shot and comes with a sweet family message at the end, but it’s the bit in the middle that has everyone in a flap

Check it out for yourself here.

The ad follows a rather grizzled old Santa who kidnaps a pompous, stuck-up mother who ignores her eight-year-old daughter. He then ropes her up and drags her through some admittedly stunning wilderness and mountain ranges. Crazy Santa then reveals the woman’s daughter’s Santa message that she just wants her mum for Christmas. I nice, happy ending to a rather bleak bank ad. We won’t sleep at night!
