Rocket Agency has announced several new senior executives will be joining their team, following a record-breaking year of growth and award-winning campaigns.
Oscar Birken will join the team as creative and operations lead, with a background at Joy, Publicis, and Ogilvy, he brings a combination of big-picture vision and operational skill.
In his role, he’ll steer Rocket’s creative engine, uniting design, copywriting, and digital experience into one unstoppable force.
Joining him is Leesa Mealing, Rocket’s new digital creative lead. With more than 15 years of experience across Australia and the UK, Leesa has led everything from UI/UX and ecommerce to video and multi-channel campaigns – bringing structure, flair, and consistency to Rocket’s bold ideas.
Leesa teams up with Davy Dubouchet, newly promoted web experience and automation lead, to craft digital projects that fuse data, design, and storytelling like never before.
However, it doesn’t stop there.
Rocket’s creative squad is also welcoming new talent and celebrating internal promotions:
- Ben Hyde joins as senior designer (The Being Group, Beauhurst, DJ Mag).
- Emily Newberry steps in as senior copywriter after nine years at The Being Group.
- Robert Pain rises to content manager, bringing strategic smarts from Fujitsu.
- Jen Lambert joins as digital account manager, bringing hybrid expertise from WE Communications Australia.
“Our creative division has gone from strength to strength, producing work we’re genuinely proud of and building a team that’s second to none,” said James Lawrence, co-founder of Rocket. “We’ve delivered award-winning campaigns for brands like Snap Print Solutions and The University of Notre Dame, and the calibre of talent joining Rocket right now is setting us up for an even stronger 2026.”
Under Birken’s leadership, the creative team will continue delivering standout campaigns for brands like The University of Notre Dame, Eden Brae Homes, Snap Print Solutions, Caulfield Place, and Neverfail — combining big ideas with measurable digital impact.
“This is an exciting time for Rocket,” said Oscar Birken. “The creative team has achieved extraordinary results, and my focus will be on continuing that momentum by uniting creative thinking with digital performance to deliver work that truly moves the needle for our clients.”
