Optus Targets Families With New Home Internet Offering

Optus has launched a brand-new specific ‘all-in-one’ home internet solution designed for families to ensure the whole family can experience a new benchmark when it comes to fast, strong and reliable WiFi connectivity.

Research prepared on behalf of Optus reveals that 54% of Australians have experienced speed and/or reliability issues with their home internet connection; for families this was more pronounced at 60%.

With more time being spent working from home, browsing, streaming and managing the family than ever before, a strong and reliable internet connection has become a household priority and Optus is proud to be offering a solution for families with the Optus Family Internet Plans.

The new Optus Family Internet Plans come equipped with the power packed duo of our Optus Ultra WiFi modem and a new Ultra WiFi Booster, which work together to provide extended and strong WiFi signal to more corners of the home becoming the perfect solution for families experiencing weak connections or dropouts in certain rooms.

Customers have the option to choose from two new standalone month to month Optus Family Internet plans, which launch with an introductory offer of $79/mth and $99/mth for the first twelve months of signing up. Both plans include subscriptions to Optus Sport and a Fetch Mini set top box and give customers the freedom to add any extras they may need, including an nbn speed pack upgrade, a phone line or international calling.

Optus Managing Director of Marketing and Revenue, Matt Williams said, “at Optus we are proud to be meeting the needs of Australian families with this all-in-one solution, being the first of its kind for the Australian market.

The inclusion of the new Optus Ultra WiFi Booster as part of our new Family Internet plans ensures families can get the most out of their home internet service and keep connected to the things they love, from more parts of their home.”

“We look forward to continuing to lead the way when it comes to our NBN offerings, currently holding the ACCC’s #1 rating for nbn average download speeds for the fifth quarter in a row.”*

The Optus Family Home Internet Plans also includes monthly access, which is usually $14.99, at no additional cost to Optus Sport – the home of premium football and provides customers with live and on demand content, along with expert analysis and highlights.

Stream every match of the incomparable Premier League, UEFA Champions League and Europa League on demand and exclusively live, plus Barclay’s FA Women’s Super League, classics, shorts, shows, minis and more.
